Michael Tang

Michael X. Tang, the Managing Partner, has extensive legal knowledge and experience through years of study and practice in China and the United States. Graduated from law schools of Shandong University and Wuhan University, China, and Fordham University in New York, USA, Mr. Tang has been admitted to practice at All-China Bars, New York State Bar and US Federal Courts (Including EDNY, SDNY, Bankruptcy Courts, United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, United States Court of International Trade, United States Supreme Court).


Michael X. Tang has wide experience with Chinese litigation and court systems, in-depth knowledge in Chinese laws and broad connections with Chinese law firms. He collaborates with reputable Chinese law firms in handing tiny or big legal issues. Michael X. Tang travels between China and the United States each year to connect people and resources and promotes inbound and outbound business. Michael X. Tang is reputable among Chinese New Yorkers as an active member in several influential associations such as Confucius Foundation, New York Shandong Association (In-house Legal Counsel) and Shandong University Alumni Association (Former President). Michael X. Tang is a proud father of two children living in Flushing, New York and is a Harvard Dad.

Louisa Wu

Louisa Wu is a bi-lingual Chinese/U.S. legal professional, holding law degrees in China and the U.S., experienced in International Relations and Diplomacy, International Business and U.S. Immigration law. Louisa is currently focused on nonimmigrant visa (L1), employment-based immigration visas (EB1C)  and investment immigration visa (EB5).


Graduated from Shandong University and Temple University with L.L.B and L.L.M, Louisa was admitted into the New York State Bar in 2014. Louisa once interned in the United Nations and volunteered for a reputable immigration firm in Philadelphia. Louisa is also a very young and enthusiastic business development professional. During her previous employment, she connected China entrepreneurs with U.S. entrepreneurs such as business owners, realtors, education institutions, and bankers; located business opportunities for Chinese Investors entering the United States. Louisa speaks fluent Chinese.

Tom Zhao

Tom, with MBA and MS degrees, worked with Tang & Associates since 2004 and successfully handled thousands of immigration cases. Worked in this firm for ten years with corporate and individual client building and management by innovative problem solving for various visas (including H1B), PERM (Labor Certificate), I-130/140, and I-485 processing/approvals; by communicating with government agencies (USCIS, Labor Department, NVC, U. S. Consulate abroad), sponsoring companies and clients regarding LCA/PERM posting, PERM, file/documentation management, USCIS on-site inspection. Also prior-experienced as In-House Immigration Specialist for big companies with thousands of employees globally, such as Fountain Technologies, in advising company’s immigration and global recruiting policies and in processing high volume cases of H1B, Labor Certification Substitution, RIR, Green Cards, and Consular Processing. Tom speaks fluent Korean and Chinese.

Tina Tan

Tina Tan has more than 10 years legal experience in Immigration, Real Estate, Business Transaction and Corporate Law. Tina has been living in three countries, China, Sweden and the United States. Growing up in China, Tina worked with one of the Global Fortune Top 100 companies as Business Operations Manager there. She left China for Sweden in 2000 and earned her Master’s Degree of Business Administration at Stockholm University. Tina has successfully handled thousands of Immigration cases including family-based immigration, H-1B, EB2, EB3, real estate transaction, Business transaction etc. Tina speaks fluent Chinese.

Elliott N. Taylor

Eliott N. Taylor

Elliott N. Taylor, of counsel, graduated from Utah State University, Logan, Utah in 1982 with a B.S. in Political Science. He received his JD from the University of Tulsa in 1986, and became a member of the Utah Bar in 1987. Mr. Taylor is currently serving as Chairman of the Utah Bar Corporate and Securities law practicesection (2013-14). He is licensed to practice law in the State of Utah and the United States District Court, District of Utah.


Over the past 26 years, Mr. Taylor has provided legal representation to both individual and corporate clients in transactional and other matters, including  representation in Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB), Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and state securities proceedings.


Mr. Taylor is a Senior Counsel  for Tang & Associates in regard to securities regulatory proceedings, commercial litigation, mergers, and acquisitions.

Suzy Shi

Suzy Shi, has been a practicing paralegal for 8 years in the arenas of immigration, real estate, matrimonial and corporate laws. Before she joined Tang & Associates in 2008, Suzy worked for a major immigration law firm on Wall Street. Suzy speaks fluent Cantonese and Mandarin.

Patricia S. Mann

Patricia S. Mann, of-counsel, have many years’ experience over immigration and nationality law matters. She successfully represented many clients in immigration court who had experienced persecution as a consequence of grass roots political activism in China. Pat received her J.D. in 2005 from New York University. Pat is admitted to practice in the Second Circuit, as well as the Eastern and Southern Districts. She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, as well as the National Immigration Project, and the City Bar Committee on Immigration and Nationality Law
